Terms of use

These are the plain-English terms for using 2027 Eclipse Map (2027eclipsemap.com). They are not legal advice. By using the site you agree to them.

Using the site

You can use the site, share links to it, and embed the map on your own page for free, including in schools and for non-commercial projects. Please keep the credit link that comes with the embed code. Please do not try to overload the site, scrape it in bulk or use it for anything unlawful.

Downloaded images

Images you download include the data credits. You may use them in school work, blog posts and similar, as long as the credits stay visible. If you want to use them in a book, product or paid service, please ask first.

No guarantees

The maps and text are provided "as they are". The underlying data comes from academic and community projects (see data sources) and is not perfect. Do not rely on it for navigation, land access, legal boundaries, safety or planning decisions. Always check official sources and respect private land and local rules.

Our liability

We are not responsible for loss or damage that comes from using the site, to the extent the law allows. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.

Other people's content

The data and the open-source map software we use belong to their authors and are used under their licences. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we do not control them.

Changes and law

We may change the site or these terms from time to time. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
